The Long Island Puppet Theater
1998 - Our Humble Beginnings
In 1998, Roman and Eliza Valdes open The Long Island Puppet Theater & Museum, a safe and fun environment for people of all ages to come and enjoy the history and whimsical story telling abilities of Puppetry from around the world.
In that same year, they perform their first children's party by special request - A young boy, no older than 7, sits in the audience enamored with the intricacies of the hand crafted puppets and stories unfolding on stage.
2005 - Joining The Circus
In 2005, that same boy, now 13 years old returns to The Long Island Puppet Theater with his working papers in hand. Determined, he works side by side with Roman & Eliza to learn the various art forms of puppetry from around the world and to create new and exciting shows, parties, and events at The Long Island Puppet Theater.
2016 - Revitalizing Force
In 2016, Roman & Eliza pursue their dreams of entertainment in film & television, leaving Anthony A. Labriola, that same young man, now 24 years old, to carry on the legacy of The Long Island Puppet Theater. To carry on a safe and fun environment for people of all ages to come and enjoy the history and whimsical storytelling abilities of Puppetry from around the world.
